What comes through the door

If it has a small engine in it, bring it in.

Mowers are most of it, but not all of it. Steve spent his career inside the outdoor power industry, including a stint at Briggs & Stratton and service manager roles at Murray, Tanaka and Oleo Mac. Very little turns up that he has not already had apart.

Mower service and repair

All makes and models. A full service, or a proper diagnosis when something has stopped running the way it should.

Tuning and full overhauls

Old machines that still have life in them. Tuned, cleaned and brought back so they cut like they used to.

Briggs & Stratton engines

Steve worked for Briggs & Stratton. Hard starting, rough running and fuel problems on their engines are home ground.

Victa repairs

An authorised Victa mower repairer, so Victa machines are looked after properly rather than sent somewhere else.

Trimmers, chainsaws and hedgers

Line trimmers, chainsaws and hedge trimmers. The whole outdoor power shed, not just the mower.

Generators

Small generators including caravan sets. Fuel systems rebuilt where that is what it takes to get them right.

Most people who fix mowers learned on mowers. Steve learned on the other side of the counter. Over forty four years in the outdoor power industry he has been the service manager for Murray, Tanaka, Oleo Mac, Grasshopper and Parklander, and he spent time working for Briggs & Stratton itself.

That is the difference you feel when you hand a machine over. He is not guessing at a fault, he is recognising one. It is why he can spend an hour on a tired old mower and hand it back running like new.

He is also an authorised Victa repairer, so Victa machines are handled here rather than sent away. And he works alongside Ben, which means there are two sets of hands for both workshop jobs and onsite work.

Option one

Bring it to the workshop

Drop the machine in at North Creek Road, Monday to Thursday. A fully equipped workshop in Ballina.

Option two

Pickup and delivery

Cannot get it there? Steve collects the machine, services it and drops it back to your door. Ask when you call.

Option three

Onsite, by booking

Some jobs are better done where the machine lives. Onsite work runs on weekends and needs to be booked in first.

A note on weekends. The workshop runs Monday to Thursday, 9am to 4pm. Onsite work is carried out on weekends and has to be booked in beforehand, so give Steve a ring during the week to lock it in.

I cannot recommend Steve high enough. Had mower issues. Took the mower to him in Ballina as an authorized Victa mower repairer. Steve spent an hour fixing it on the spot giving it a complete overhaul. Running now like a dream. Only charged me for parts not the additional attention he put in to it.
